Deal | Gigabyte Aero X16 16-inch gaming laptop with AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 and RTX 5070 8 GB GPU drops to $1,399

Price increases for RAM and GPU components are particularly noticeable in the gaming laptop sector these days, and really good deals tend to arise less and less often. One such deal is now available from Walmart where the Gigabyte Aero X16 gaming laptop with a respectable configuration that MSRPs for $2,000 is now seeing a sizable discount of $600.00.  This is the 2025 model with the previous Ryzen AI 300-series processors, but the specs are still solid especially for the $1,400 price range.

Powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 APU with 8x Zen 5 cores and 16 threads that boost to 5 GHz, this model also packs 32 GB DDR5-5600 RAM upgradeable to 64 GB and 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage extendable to up to 4 TB via 2x M.2 slots (Gen4x4 + Gen4x2). Since Nvidia only introduced the 12 GB RTX 5070 GPUs this year, this configuration features the 8 GB GDDR7 VRAM version, which is, nevertheless, an excellent solution.

The display features a 2560 x 1600 IPS panel with 165 Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB color gamut and, 3 ms response time, 400 nits maximum brightness. Gigabyte offers factory Pantone color calibration, TÜV Rheinland low blue light filter and a MUX switch for the GPU. On top of the display, there is an FHD webcam with IR sensor and dual mic array.

Port selection features a USB4 connector with DP 1.4 and PD 3.0, as well 2x USB-A 3.2 5 Gbps and a USB 2.0. Additional ports include an HDMI 2.1, GbE jack and audio combo jack. Wireless connectivity is provided through a Wi-Fi 7 + BT 5.4 card. The 2x 2W audio system is compliant with the Dolby Atmos standard.

Together with the 76 Wh battery, this laptop weighs ~1.9 kg and the chassis measures 355 x 250.7 x 16.75~19.99 mm. The discount is for the Lunar White color variant.
