The OnePlus 9 launched alongside its Pro counterpart to varying levels of bemusement as to the benefit of the new Hasselblad logo slapped on their rear camera humps. Nevertheless, a customer still gets a powerful phone with 8GB of RAM, not to mention an effective FHD+ 120Hz "Fluid" AMOLED display and one of the fastest (65W) charging standards in the Android world for its 4,500mAh battery.
In addition, it offers triple rear cameras, one of which is a 50MP ultra-wide lens (even if one of the others is a 2MP monochrome sensor). Therefore, it might make for a bargain should a deal shaving something off its normal US$729 starting price (for an 8GB/128GB unit) turn up.
Now, it seems Best Buy has provided just such a potential opportunity. It will sell one of these OnePlus 9 SKUs for as little as $549.99 - on the condition the buyer activates the phone on the Verizon network on the day of purchase.
Alternatively, the new device might go for $599.99 with a similar activation via AT&T, or $649.99 with no activation (a deal also currently available on Amazon). The chain does not mention how long this offer will last - however, as it is likely to be a hold-over from an Independence Day event, it is not likely to hang around for long.
