Geekom launches A6 mini PC with AMD Ryzen and Radeon iGPU for $500

Geekom has officially launched its latest mini PC, the A6. This mini PC is aimed at consumers looking for a decent amount of power at a more affordable price. 

The A6 is very similar to Geekom's AS6, which it released back in mid-2023. It is powered by the same Ryzen 7 6800H CPU and Radeon 680M iGPU as its older brother. The A6 also ships with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM (2x16 GB SODIMMs) and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe Gen 4 x4 SSD. It can also support a 2.5-inch SATA drive for additional storage. 

Port selection is fairly robust, including two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports and a headset jack on the front and an SD card slot on the left side. The back contains a DC in, a USB4 port (40 Gbps, DIsplayPort), two HDMI 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 Port (w/ DisplayPort), and a USB 2.0 port. 

Like most Geekom mini desktops, the PC can be easily opened for ready access to the 2.5-inch SATA drive bay, the M.2 2280 NVMe drive slot, the wireless card (the A6 ships with a MediaTek MT7922 card that supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2), and the two DDR5 SODIMM slots. Further disassembly is needed to reach the CPU and iGPU if users want to repaste the chips. 

The A6 is fairly compact, measuring in at 112.4 x 112.4 x 37 mm (4.43 x 4.43 x 1.46 in). Like other Geekom mini PCs, the A6 ships with a VESA mount so that users can attach it to the back of a compatible monitor. 

Geekom is marketing the A6 to more budget-minded users. The unit is on sale now for just under $500. Additionally, Geekom regularly gives out discount codes to save a little bit extra.
