Garmin’s Instinct 3 is receiving software version 13.25
Garmin system software 13.25 is rolling out to users of some of the brand’s smartwatches. This update fixes a problem with the recently added Smart Wake Alarm feature. Plus, this update for the Instinct 3, Instinct E and Instinct Crossover wearables brings an update for translations.

Garmin has released a new stable update for the Instinct 3, Instinct Crossover and Instinct E smartwatches. This is a relatively small release for these wearables, arriving just a couple of days after the version 13.24 release.

With Garmin’s system software 13.25, users of these Instinct smartwatches are getting a Smart Wake Alarm related bug fix, to prevent possible crashes. This tool, which was pushed to these wearables in the 13.24 update, can be used to intelligently adjust your wake time based on your sleep cycles. Rather than setting an exact time, users select a 30 minute wake window, with the smartwatch using health data to detect the optimal time to sound, to avoid a feeling of grogginess.

This is not the only change in the 13.25 stable release; it also includes a Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) translation update. As a reminder, the earlier 13.24 update brought a new Treadmill Walk activity and Morning Report customization options to users of the Instinct 3 and Instinct E smartwatches. Plus, the Instinct Crossover (curr. $299.99 at Amazon) has received new watch face designs.

At the time of writing, system software 13.25 has been pushed to around 20% of users of the Garmin Instinct 3, Instinct E and Instinct Crossover smartwatches. It should be pushed to the wearables automatically when they are connected to the Garmin Connect mobile app or the Garmin Express computer software.
