Garmin has released new beta software for the vivoactive 6. We last reported on beta version 15.05 for this smartwatch, which landed at the end of September 2025. This older update added support for a new gesture, and Morning and Evening Reports are now accessible in the notification center.
Since then, Garmin has issued two further updates, beta version 15.08 and beta version 15.10. These two releases have an identical change log, stating that there is a new on-watch glance allowing users to track changes to their health data. While not named in the release notes, this is the new Health Status feature, which was launched alongside the Venu 4 smartwatch (curr. $549.99 at Amazon).
Beta versions 15.08 and 15.10 also add the ability for users to power down their vivoactive 6 smartwatch without entering the device’s passcode. There are bug fixes for problems with the incorrect notification number shown on the watch face and the wrong time displayed in the Evening Report. Plus, Garmin has tackled an issue which caused the wearable to reboot after receiving a series of smart notifications. On top of this, beta version 15.08 was said to bring GCM Translations version 3.00 to users.
You can download the beta version 15.10 update for the Garmin vivoactive 6 smartwatch by going to the Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates. When a stable version of this update will become available for all users of this wearable is unclear.
