A Redditor has discovered references to a new unreleased Garmin wearable. To recap, the company has launched various smartwatches this month already like the Approach J1, Quatix 8 Pro and an updated version of the Venu X1 (curr. $599.99 on Amazon). Now, Garmin is preparing to offer a Whoop alternative.
Specifically, Garmin briefly added references to the Cirqa Smart Band on its Canadian website. Now removed but screenshotted by u/CultureAdvanced and embedded below, the listing outlines that the Cirqa Smart Band is a wrist-based smart band rather than the bicep-worn Index Sleep Monitor that Garmin introduced last year.
As the image above shows, Garmin has designed the Cirqa Smart Band in two sizes with a minimum wrist circumference of 120 mm. Meanwhile, Garmin believes that its L/XL sizing will be suitable for people with wrists measuring 145-240 mm. From the image below, both sizes will be available in Black or French Grey finishes.
Unfortunately, the Cirqa Smart Band's design remains unknown for now, with Garmin Canada initially using a placeholder product image before removing it. The listing also mentions that the smart band will not ship until late May or June. However, its appearance on Garmin Canada implies that the Cirqa Smart Band will receive an official launch much sooner than that.
