Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide cases listed on Alibaba before launch: You can buy one - Samsung can't stop you

Protective cases for the unannounced Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide have surfaced on Alibaba, reports veteran smartphone tipster Ice Universe.
The renders (once again) confirm a radical design pivot for Samsung, shifting from the company’s signature "tall and narrow" form factor to a broader 4:3 inner display ratio.

According to previous reports, the "Wide" variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (which is coming too) will be significantly shorter than the more familiar version, measuring just 123.9 mm tall. Despite its shorter stature, the Wide is said to boast a remarkably thin 4.3 mm unfolded profile, undercutting rivals like the Huawei Pura X Max.
Foldable enthusiasts can expect a true flagship featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a "crease-less" OLED panel (whatever that means). The wide-design strategy is Samsung’s preemptive strike against the foldable iPhone Ultra, which is expected to debut this September with a focus on (surprise, surprise) a "crease-free" panel.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide is rumored to become official on July 22, 2026, during a Galaxy Unpacked event said to be held in London.
