Galaxy S26 FE to follow past FE phones with chip choice

This may come as no surprise, but Samsung seems to be continuing the tradition of using its own chip for the budget-oriented FE model in the Galaxy S26 series. The phone is still several months away, and Samsung has not shared any information on it, but a leaker has claimed the Galaxy S26 FE will be powered by an Exynos chip.
The leaker in question is the same one who recently shared the chip configurations for the upcoming foldables. Erencan Yılmaz posted on X in response to his own post that the Galaxy S26 FE will be powered by an Exynos chip. While he doesn’t reveal which chip exactly, it will likely be the Exynos 2500, the same chip found in the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Also, the post doesn't mention if the Exynos variant will be the only one.
This will be in line with previous FE models. The Galaxy S25 FE (buy on Amazon) is powered by the Exynos 2400, while the Galaxy S24 FE features the Exynos 2400e. Even though Samsung has progressed to the much more capable and efficient Exynos 2600 for the Galaxy S26 series, it is unlikely that this chip will make its way to the Galaxy S26 FE. It would be an interesting surprise if Samsung does fit the Exynos 2600 in there, as it is expected to do with the Galaxy Z Flip 8.
Speaking of the Galaxy Z Flip 8, the same leaker mentioned that it will have both Exynos and Snapdragon variants, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide will come with Snapdragon chips only.
