Some Fitbit users have flagged a new issue with the company’s app following recent updates. According to posts on the Fitbit Community forum, a couple of problems relating to the food logging section of the app appeared after the recent app version 4.29 update. However, they seem to only affect Pixel phone users.
Fitbit customers have reported that various pages in the Log Food section of the app are cut off at the top, preventing them from viewing all of the information about food items. Others report that the option to add custom food has disappeared, and you cannot view historical data. Several users have tried logging out, clearing the cache and restarting their phone, but unfortunately none of these steps resolve the issue. Plus, the problem persists after the latest app update to version 4.30.
The bug has been reported by users with various Pixel phone models, including the Pixel 6, Pixel 7a, Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 Pro (currently $999 at Amazon). On November 13th, a Fitbit representative posted in the thread, stating that the team has acknowledged the issue and is working on a solution. However, the company has not indicated when customers can expect to receive another update that includes this bug fix.
