Google has expanded the number of straps available for the Fitbit Ace LTE, its smartwatch for kids. With the addition of four new straps, including a Minecraft band, buyers now have ten bands to choose from.
Each of the new Ace Bands costs $34.99 and includes the Minecraft: Do U Mine? Active Band, Space Bacon Comfort Band, Bubble Cats Comfort Band, and Mechanoid Active Band. Like previous bands, they don't just change the look of the Fitbit Ace LTE, but also unlock new gear for the in-watch avatar, which is called an Eejie. The bands also add new noodles, a.k.a. activity progress bars.
The Minecraft and Mechanoid active bands are made from polyurethane with a soft-touch coating and have a plastic closure, whereas the other two are comfort bands that are made from stretch recycled yarn and have a hook-and-loop closure. All four bands are a one-size-fits-all for wrists between 120mm to 200mm. They are also rated IP68 for dust and water resistance.
The bands are available to buy from Amazon and from the Google Store. And if you haven't picked up the Fitbit Ace LTE for your child, now is a good time to do so, as it is currently available to buy for $139.95 on Amazon instead of $179.95. It is also discounted on the Google Store up until September 28.
