Huawei has officially introduced the Watch GT 6 series, and compared to the last-gen smartwatches, the new wearables are said to deliver better battery life and improved GPS performance. To be specific, the non-Pro 41 mm GT 6 is rated for up to 14 days of runtime, while the Pro and 46 mm variant of the standard smartwatch is said to deliver up to 21 days of battery life.
In comparison, the standard 41 mm Watch GT 5 is rated for up to 7 days of use, while the 46 mm and the GT 5 Pro have a 14-day rating. As for the GPS tracking performance, Huawei notes that the GT 6 series comes with an improved positioning system that is claimed to be 20% more accurate than the last-gen lineup.
The company further claims that the Watch GT 6 Pro is the first smartwatch to come with a virtual power meter for cyclists. It's said to be the "most precise and scientifically sound" way of measuring the training intensity.
When paired with the Huawei Health app, users can track a handful of key training metrics with the Watch GT 6 Pro, including cycling speed. As for the non-Pro smartwatch, the new TruSense system can offer multiple health analytics, including a detailed cardiovascular report.
Design-wise, the Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro has a similar overall look to its predecessor, but it comes with a slightly raised bezel. The non-Pro smartwatch also has a similar overall design to the predecessor.
Huawei's Watch GT 6 series is now available to purchase in the EU, and orders placed until October 31, 2025, will be paired with the FreeBuds SE 3 (curr. €39 on Amazon) for free or a €30 discount. As for the price, the Watch GT 6 Pro starts at €379, while the variant with a Titanium Strap costs €499. The non-Pro smartwatch, on the other hand, starts at €249 and goes up to €299 for specific variants.
