Garmin has delivered a new update to the Instinct E, Instinct 3 and Instinct 3 Solar (curr. $449 on Amazon) after releasing new Instinct Crossover and Instinct Crossover Tactical Edition smartwatches yesterday. This time, the company is offering a stable update, which it is distributing as System Software 10.36.
For context, the company released System Software 10.30 less than a month ago for the same smartwatches. Shortly afterwards, Garmin issued Beta Version 10.36, which it has now transitioned to its stable software branch. In other words, the new update is more of an interim one than something that brings new features and improvements to the table.
Specifically, System Software 10.36 addresses bugs that shipped with its predecessor. According to the company's forum posts, all models should no longer have issues after accessing the Broadcast heart rate feature using a hot key. On top of that, Garmin has included several bugs that are specific to Solar-equipped models. The full changelog for System Software 10.36 is as follows:
All Instinct 3/Instinct E:
- Fixed potential issues when accessing Broadcast HR from hot key.
Solar/AMOLED Only:
- Fixed issue where strobe would stay on after exiting activity.
Solar/E Only:
- Fixed CIQ data fields stopping after accessing a CIQ glance.
- Fixed current temperature in weather glance when value is 100 or greater.
Solar Only:
- Fixed potential crash when pairing RD pod.
