The Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch is receiving an update: software version 3.22.0.4. This model arrived at US retailer Best Buy in August 2025 and has recently arrived in one European country.
Reported by users on Reddit, the version 3.22.0.4 is almost identical to an August update for the standard Balance 2 smartwatch (curr. $299.99 at Amazon). It has been reported that this release brings the BioCharge feature to users of the Balance 2 XT. Accessible in the Zepp app, the score is designed to help users understand how their energy levels are impacted by workouts and rest.
Also arriving for Balance 2 XT users with this update is support for continuous second-level heart rate monitoring. Plus, there is a new segmented display for maps, with reminders linked to navigational waypoints. Users can adjust vibration settings further, choosing from six levels. On top of this, you can now raise to unlock your watch during a workout, and the heart rate algorithm is said to have been optimized for swimming.
Typically, Amazfit rolls out its software updates in phases, starting in the US, China and Italy. At the time of writing, it is unclear when software version 3.22.0.4 will have reached all users of the Balance 2 XT smartwatch.
