The Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro smartwatch is receiving another update. The software version 2.4.2.1 release brings improvements to integrations with two training-related apps. Plus, this update also includes two bug fixes alongside a change to the way in which users must end workouts going forward.

A new update has arrived for the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro, software version 2.4.2.1. This recently released smartwatch received its first update, version 2.2.3.3, in mid-September. It brought optimizations for the offline route planning function, as well as other improvements and bug fixes.

Software version 2.4.2.1 was reported by users of the T-Rex 3 Pro on Reddit. The shared change log (below) states that the release brings improved integrations with TrainingPeaks and Intervals.icu. You can now sync running, cycling and swimming training plans to the Zepp app, and these are also accessible on the smartwatch. There is another workout-related change, which means users now need to pause a workout before it can be ended.

On top of this, the release brings two bug fixes. The first tackles a problem with the offline route planning feature, where directions were accidentally given in reverse. The second is said to resolve other unnamed issues, with the aim of improving system stability.

Software version 2.4.2.1 appears to be rolling out in phases to users of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro smartwatch (curr. $399.99 at Amazon). It is likely to reach all customers in the next few weeks and will be available to download via the Zepp smartphone app.
