Fenix has launched the E06R, which is a particularly small EDC flashlight that's well-suited for keychain. Alternatively, it comes with a clip that can be attached to a belt. This gadget is very compact with a length of 2.76 inches, but it's a bit longer than the Fenix E03R. That said, the E06R weighs just 1.9oz according to Fenix.
The Fenix E06R can output up to 700 lumens and has a throw of up to 120 yards according to the manufacturer. However, these specs only apply to the main LED. The flashlight also comes with a laser pointer for presentations as well as a UV light that can expose dirty hotel rooms, among other things. There's also an RGB ring that can be used as an ambient light that can be turned down to just 1 lumen.
At maxed-out 700 lumens, the flashlight is supposed to last 1 hour and 20 minutes on a full charge. The lowest mode with 5 lumens can last up to 60 hours. The built-in battery with about 2.7 watt-hours can be easily recharged via USB-C.
The back of the Fenix E06R is magnetic. Therefore, the device can be attached to a PC case or fridge, for example. The flashlight puts out a more focused light beam and not diffused light like a lantern. However, the RGB ring might be sufficient in such uses cases. The E06R is also robust and has an IP66 rating.
The new Fenix flashlight is now available for $56 directly at Fenix and comes in two different color variants. Third-party sellers have also listed E06R on Amazon for the exact same price.
