Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves gets a Tekken 8 collab

SNK has announced that Reina from Tekken 8 will join Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as the final DLC fighter of Season Pass 3. She arrives in December 2026, though SNK has not confirmed an exact day and says the Season Pass 3 schedule can change without prior notice.

Who Reina is

Reina debuted as a launch fighter in Tekken 8 in January 2024 and goes by the Purple Lightning. Bandai Namco revealed her as the last launch character in November 2023. SNK says she has quickly become a fan favorite among players worldwide since her debut. Her only known background is that she attends Mishima Polytechnical School. She is lightning fast in battle and occasionally shows a ruthless side beneath a cheerful demeanor. In SNK’s story for the crossover, she wanders into South Town and decides to enter the King of Fighters tournament out of curiosity. Kate Clarke voices her in English and Asami Seto in Japanese.

SNK says her fast, aggressive Tekken fighting style has been blended with the game’s REV system, creating a playstyle that draws on both series. So far the company has released only a teaser trailer, and the announcement does not include a move list.

A seven-fighter Season 3

Reina completes a seven-fighter lineup for Season 3, which carries the theme and tagline Destined for Revenge. Rick Strowd, Duck King, and Kim Kaphwan are already available. Tokyo Revengers guest fighters Mikey and Draken arrive together on October 22, and Laocorn from Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture follows in November.

The crossover also continues a link between the two franchises. Fatal Fury’s Geese Howard joined Tekken 7 as a guest fighter on November 30, 2017, and Reina now makes the trip in the other direction.
