Released on Steam on October 16, Escape From Duckov has been a huge success and continues to achieve incredible results. And with its unique and parodic concept, this game developed by Team Soda has just reached a very important milestone.
If you are not yet familiar with this phenomenon, it's a PVE indie survival RPG in which you embody a duck. Plunged into a post-apocalyptic world, you'll have to face different types of enemies outside your base.
For this, you'll have several weapons at your disposal, and you can also craft your own using resources you will find during your exploration. Of course, the goal is to escape from this world, and five maps are available with changing weather conditions that can alter the course of a game.
And although it was already a huge success when it was released, selling 200,000 copies in the first 24 hours, it recently reached a symbolic milestone. In just five days, this title sold one million copies and is already one of the most played games on Steam and on the Epic Games Store.
Thus, to thank the players, Jeff Chen, the producer of Escape From Duckov, revealed this in a statement:
"Over 1,000,000 ducklings have now waddled into the world of Duckov, and we couldn't be more excited (and honored). This is 1,000,000 reasons to celebrate YOU, our amazing community, our testers, our supporters, and our fellow ducklings. At this unbelievable achievement, we're floating (okay, maybe spinning) in disbelief, but mostly, we're deeply, sincerely grateful. THANK YOU to every single duckling who's plaved, supported, and believed in Duckov. We couldn't have done it without you. Your passion, your feedback, your laughs, they're what make this game, and this journey, so special."
And if the game continues to bring new features, its future could be just as promising. Indeed, it is possible that the second million will soon be reached.
