Early signs of the upcoming Motorola Moto E20 and E30 surface online
Motorola has teased and subsequently launched a bevy of Moto G phones in 2021; now, it may be the turn of the corresponding E series. According to 2 reliable leakers, they may be here soon to combine some low-tier specs with interesting looks.
Evan Blass has kicked the "late 2021 Moto E" rumors off with tales of an upcoming variant called the E20/XT2155-1, or "Aruba". Claims of a 6.5-inch HD+ display powered by a "1.6GHz" SoC and 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13MP+2MP rear cameras, a 4000mAh battery and Android 11 are accompanied by renders of a device with a rear panel in a bluish green most like that of the newly refreshed Moto G50.
Sudanshu Ambhore has subsequently corroborated this new leak with additional details. It seems the octa-core processor in question is the Honor's latest phone is the sub-US$150, Unisoc T610-powered Play 20Unisoc T606, which has an ARM Mali-G57 GPU. The tipster believes the silicon will run the budget phone-friendly Android 11 Go out of the box.
The "Moto E20" is also now slated to come with a 5MP selfie camera for the notch seen in its renders, although it could yet do a convincing impression of a 2021 device thanks to its USB type-C port. Ambhore has also contributed renders which purport to confirm a 3.5mm jack along with the unusual honeycomb texture for the "E20's" rear panel.
This image hints at a second color option for the supposedly imminent new Moto E variant (gray). Finally, Evan Blass also asserts there is a Moto E30 in the works; then again, nothing is known about this device, besides its putative code-name: Cyprus.
