Although the Dell G3223Q is a gaming monitor, its high-resolution IPS panel and respectable colour space coverage make it a worthy option for general-purpose use. It features a console compatibility mode and connection for use with the PlayStation 5, which is an added bonus. The inclusion of features like AMD FreeSync Premium Pro should keep tearing to a minimum, while the G-Sync Compatible rating means VRR is supported across basically all gaming platforms available.
According to an in-depth technical review by RTings praised the Dell G3223Q for its high brightness in both HDR and SDR modes, with HDR brightness reaching 665 nits, even in a sustained 100% window test. SDR brightness was equally good, at 433 nits in a 100% sustained window. Another strong point was colour accuracy, where the test results showed very impressive delta-E values of 0.50 in sRGB mode.
The Dell G3223Q also has a heigh, -tilt-, and swivel-adjustable stand, which is a nice convenience feature, especially for anyone with a multi-monitor setup.
