DFI PCSF51: New single-board computer presented with AMD Ryzen Embedded R2000 APUs
The DFI PCSF51 is an 84 x 55 x 1.6 mm single-board computer (SBC), which corresponds to a 1.8-inch SBC form factor. The DFI PCSF51 utilises AMD Ryzen Embedded R2000 APUs though, unlike many modern SBCs. Specifically, DFI offers the DFI PCSF51 with the Ryzen Embedded R2312, Ryzen Embedded R2314 and Ryzen Embedded R2514, which are dual-core, quad-core and quad-core APUs, respectively. All APUs contain Vega-based GPUs and have 12 W TDPs, although the Ryzen Embedded R2514 has the most capable iGPU and the highest CPU boost clock speeds.
Additionally, the DFI PCSF51 features DDR4-2267 single-channel RAM, eMMC flash storage and an M.2 E Key with one PCIe lane at its disposal. Moreover, the SBC has an HDMI 1.4 port, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports and a LAN connection. According to DFI, the DFI PCSF51 supports Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with Linux 5.4 and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64-bit.
For now, DFI has not announced DFI PCSF51 pricing or availability, even after exhibiting the SBC at Embedded World 2023. Currently, DFI hopes to offer the DFI PCSF51 with 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB of eMMC flash storage, as well as 4 GB and 8 GB of RAM options. It remains to be seen how many memory options will be available, though. Please see DFI's website for more details.
