Citizen recently released three new limited edition Citizen Collection Ana-Digi Temp watches in Japan. These are the JG2103-56P (gold), the JG2101-51H (silver) and the JG2104-53R (rose gold).
The Citizen Ana-Digi Temp watch launched in the 1980s, with the company suggesting it has a “retro-futuristic design”. The casing, dial and strap are all made from stainless steel in the same color, with a hairline finish in different directions on various elements, bringing texture to the design. Each variant has a square dial, featuring the word Ana-Digi Temp in the lowest section of the face.
At the top of the Ana-Digi Temp’s face are two small inset analog watches. The one on the left shows the time in hours and minutes, while the one on the right can be programmed to show seconds or a second time zone, or used for the alarm or stopwatch. Below this, there is a function indicator dial on the left. To the right are two small digital displays, with the upper showing the day of the week and the date, and the lower giving a temperature reading. These watches are powered by an 8989 caliber, said to remain accurate to within 15 seconds each month. According to Citizen, each has a two-year battery life, and they are marketed as waterproof for everyday use.
The Citizen Collection Ana-Digi Temp JG2103-56P gold colored watch retails for ¥40,700 (~$267) in Japan, where there are only 400 pieces available. The silver colored JG2101-51H is cheaper at ¥38,500 (~$252), limited to 500 pieces. Finally, the rose-gold JG2104-53R is the same price as the gold variant, ¥40,700 (~$267), but Citizen has only made 300 units of this version. It does not seem likely that these products will be released in other markets.
