Casio's new feature-heavy GBX-H5600 collab watch spotted in IRL images

The GBX-H5600KI-5, Casio's fourth signature G-Shock with pro surfer Kanoa Igarashi, has now been photographed in person. This has cleared up a detail the earlier renders left ambiguous: the accent text isn't pink, it's purple. Instagram account @geesgshock posted the images from what appears to be a retail display in Japan — they also credited a Japanese publication for the original photos, and even walked back an earlier description of the color after checking with Casio directly.
The close-up shots also show off the case texture better than the press renders did. The dark, marbled finish looks less like a flat print and more like actual mottled stone under indoor lighting. This is in line with the Ericeira cliff-inspired design Casio described at launch. The demo unit's screen was left on its watch face, showing the date, time, a battery indicator, and the heart rate mode label, alongside the tide graph and Bluetooth icons in the corner. Igarashi's signature sits neatly beneath the display, and the "50" marking referencing his WSL bib number is clear on the lower strap in daylight rather than a studio shot.
Retail signage photographed alongside the watch confirms it's being merchandised under Casio's G-Lide line as a signature model, tagged "New". However, the reactions in the comments have been pretty split. Some said they'd have preferred pink accents over purple, others said purple works fine against the dark casing.
