Casio's new Pokémon G-Shock is packed with nostalgic details
Casio has officially unveiled its Pokémon 30th anniversary G-Shock, and it's easily one of the most playful collaborations in recent times. From a translucent case and Poké Ball-inspired dial to a band featuring 30 Pokémon, it's packed with fan service—if you can manage to get your hands on one, that is.

After being subject to several leaks, Casio’s new limited-edition watch celebrating Pokémon’s 30th anniversary is officially here. It’s packed with Easter eggs and Pokémon-themed details, and comes in a cute Poké Ball-shaped case.

Unlike previous Pokémon collaborations, which were all based on the compact Baby-G lineup, Casio has picked the oversized GA-110 as the foundation for its latest collab. Much like the recently released Gundam-themed G-Shock, the watch features a clear, translucent resin case and band, while the dial, bezel, buttons, and hands are dressed in Pokémon’s signature RGB (red, green, blue) color scheme inspired by the original 1996 Game Boy games.

However, the Pokémon references don't stop there. The inset dial at 9 o'clock resembles a Poké Ball, with an indicator hand shaped like Pikachu from behind. The resin band showcases 30 Pokémon in total as a tribute to the franchise's 30th anniversary, and includes the starter Pokémon from every mainline generation from Kanto through Paldea, alongside Pikachu and Eevee.

Mew appears on the translucent band keeper, while the stainless steel buckle features G-Shock branding.
The strap showcases outlines of 30 Pokémon, celebrating the franchise's 30th anniversary.

Mew, a Mythical Pokémon, appears on the band keeper, while the case back is engraved with a special Pokémon 30th anniversary logo. Everything comes packaged in a special Poké Ball-shaped case inside a custom outer box that features all 30 Pokémon.

The limited-edition watch ships with a custom collector's box alongside the Poké Ball-shaped display case.

Getting your hands on one won't be easy, though. In Japan, the watch will be sold through a lottery-based pre-order sale. US buyers won't have to deal with a lottery, but they'll still need to act fast, as the limited inventory and Pokémon's enduring popularity will likely see the watch sell out in no time.

Pricing & Availability

The Pokémon x G-Shock GA-110PKM-7A is priced at $270 in the US and ¥33,000 in Japan. Pre-orders open up in the US on Wednesday, July 1, while the Japanese lottery application runs from July 1 through July 6, with the watch scheduled to go on sale on July 17. Casio hasn't confirmed whether it plans to release the watch in other markets, such as the UK and Europe.
