Casio launches new slim Oceanus watch with sapphire bezel

The Casio Oceanus Manta OCW-S6000AP-1A watch has been launched in Japan. This new limited edition model is part of the brand’s wider Indigo Ocean - Awa Indigo range, with blue colored mother-of-pearl sub dials.
The Oceanus OCW-S6000AP-1A is an analog watch with three hands set on a black dial featuring a wave-like pattern. In the three o’clock position, there is a date display, and the model also has sub dials showing the time in a 24-hour format, the time in a second time zone, and the day of the week. Each of these smaller dials is a different shade of blue, created using the traditional Awa Indigo dyeing technique. The blue colors are mirrored in the spiral cut sapphire glass bezel.
Casio’s OCW-S6000 is a Bluetooth watch, with tools like automatic time adjustments and phone finder available via the Casio Watches smartphone app. The model is also radio-controlled (Multiband 6), with users offered a choice of time zones for 27 cities. Other features include a 1-second stopwatch, a power saving mode and Tough Solar charging for an extended battery life. This slim model has a slim, silver colored titanium casing measuring 47.1 x 42.5 x 9.2 mm (~1.85 x 1.67 x 0.36 inches) and water resistant to 100 m, with a matching metal bracelet.
In Japan, the Casio Oceanus Manta OCW-S6000AP-1A watch will launch on June 12th with a ¥495,000 (~$3,108) RRP. This is a limited edition watch, with only 700 units available.
