Casio releases new G-Shock full-metal watch with rainbow ion-plated exterior in Europe

Casio has released the G-Shock Full Metal GMW-BZ5000RC-1 watch in the UK. Expected to roll out to other European countries in the near future, this model launched in Japan at the start of April 2026 and has since been shown in hands-on images.

You can now buy the Casio G-Shock GMW-BZ5000RC-1 at the brand’s online store in the UK for £770. It is worth noting that this product is limited to three units per customer and is excluded from all voucher codes. The GMW-BZ5000RC-1 is also listed at French retailer David et Philly, with a €799 RRP and an expected release window of May 2026.

The Casio G-Shock GMW-BZ5000RC-1 has a rainbow colored ion-plated case centre, sandwiched between the silver colored stainless steel bezel and the metal screw lock back. The rainbow color scheme is also found in a thin line surrounding the negative (black background) MIP LCD. Other design features include hairline and mirror finishes on the bezel and case, and a matching silver tone metal bracelet.

Features of the GMW-BZ5000 include a customizable digital display, Bluetooth connectivity and radio control (Multiband 6). It supports many world time zones, and also offers tools like a 1/100th second stopwatch, a countdown timer and five daily alarms. On top of this, it has Tough Solar charging technology and is water resistant to 200 m. It remains to be seen when the Casio G-Shock GMW-BZ5000RC-1 will be released in the US.
