Cardio Health has revealed the Metabike, a home exercise bike that allows you to play games as you workout. Smart pedals on the fitness device monitor your output and use this to power an avatar in a game, plus there are controllers built-in to the bike's handlebars. As you play and workout, you can earn Cardio Points that can be converted into Cardiocoin crypto assets.

Cardio Health has unveiled the Metabike, which it claims is the world’s first metaverse and gaming integrated exercise bike. The home fitness device can be connected to a tablet or smart TV via Bluetooth, allowing you to work out and play games to earn points simultaneously.

The indoor bike has built-in game controllers and smart pedals to measure speed, torque and workout distance and control the in-game avatar. The Cardio HUB platform has a library of over 50 games and content, including games from the ROBLOX metaverse, that the company promises to update monthly.

Cardio Health demonstrates a range of games, including racing and platformers. The gadget is also VR compatible for an immersive experience; Cardio Health shows a user playing with a Meta Quest headset. You can earn up to US$30 per month in Cardio Points that you can exchange in-app for Cardio’s ERC20-based crypto asset Cardiocoin.

It appears that you will be able to buy the Metabike, IoT pedals that you can attach to an existing indoor bike or a similar smart treadmill named Metarun, which is currently in beta. No prices are currently listed on the Cardio Health website, though you can join a mailing list to be notified with more details about the device closer to launch.
