Call of Duty Warzone replicates solar eclipse on Rebirth Island
Activision joined in on the fun of experiencing a total solar eclipse. It updated Call of Duty Warzone and allowed players from all over the world to witness the celestial event. The event unfolded on the Rebirth Island map, where the matches started out as usual, with normal sunny skies.
However, as the battle royale matches progressed, the atmosphere slowly shifted. The sky got dark around the first circle of the map, and the players alive in the match got a front-row seat to witness the celestial event.
Although the in-game solar eclipse isn’t as celestial as the real thing that happened yesterday, it’s probably the next best thing for people outside North America. Of course, while the atmosphere changed during the in-game event, battle royale matches went as usual. That means you still get the regular CoD Warzone gameplay.
Activision has likely planned to keep the event active for just one day, which means you may not be able to witness the celestial event in Warzone right now. But the good part is that a lot of players have recorded their gameplay, one of which is attached below for you to see how the event unfolded in the game.
