Leak: New Prince of Persia roguelite to be announced on April 10
After an absence of more than 10 years, Ubisoft made a successful comeback at the beginning of the year with Prince of Persia: The lost Crown (here in the benchmark test on Notebookcheck) - and according to insider information, fans can already look forward to another game from the PoP series, which is due to be released later this year. This information comes from an article on Insider Gaming written by Tom Henderson - a well-known leaker who has often been correct with his statements in the past and is considered a credible source.
The new Prince of Persia game is to be developed by Evil Empire - the development team behind the roguelite hit Dead Cells. No wonder that the new PoP game is also supposed to be a roguelite. The presumed name also fits: "The Rogue Prince of Persia". Visually, the game is said to be heavily inspired by Franco-Belgian comics. According to Henderson, Evil Empire has already been working on it for 4 years.
Initially, The Rogue Prince of Persia will only be available as an Early Access version on Steam. According to Henderson, it will receive regular updates and continue to develop based on community feedback. There are no official statements regarding the release of the game. However, according to an update to Tom Henderson's article, the Roguelite will be announced on April 10 at the Triple-i Initiative Game Show.
