Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has the worst user score of the franchise on Metacritic

While Call of Duty is one of the most popular FPS franchises in the world, some games can be disappointing. And this is the case with Black Ops 7, which was not well received by players.

Indeed, released on November 14, 2025, the story of this game takes place in 2035 and allows players to encounter many famous characters, such as David Mason. Not to mention that the Zombies mode is also available and immerses players in a new adventure with many secrets and various weapons.

However, if Black Ops 7 can be considered as the most ambitious title of the franchise, this is not the opinion of the players. Indeed, today, it has a PC user score of 1.9 on Metacritic, which is quite low. That’s not all, because it is currently the worst score of the franchise. Indeed, the previous one was Modern Warfare III, released in 2023, with a rating of 2.1 out of 10. 

Of course, this score may evolve in the days and weeks to come. But it is possible to mention various elements that have caused this situation. 

Thus, many people did not like the campaign because of its duration and its storyline. In addition, several bugs have been identified in this game mode, spoiling the gameplay. Finally, multiplayer mode also has many lags, and a lack of balance between the weapons seems to be present, causing the frustration of several gamers. 

Therefore, it will be necessary to see if Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will get a better score in the coming weeks. But also if the different issues mentioned by the players will be corrected.
