Unlike the recent XPS 15 and XPS 17 11th gen Tiger Lake-H launch, the latest Alienware X15 and X17 are more than just internal upgrades. The two models are full-fledged redesigns of their respective m15 and m17 predecessors for what should be completely different user experiences.
Gamers willing to check out Dell's thinnest gaming laptop yet can do so now as the manufacturer has begun shipping a range of Alienware X15 and X17 SKUs. The baseline 15.6-inch Alienware X15 comes with the Core i7-11800H CPU and GeForce RTX 3060 GPU for $1960 USD whereas the highest-end version with the Core i9-11900H and RTX 3080 will set you back $3800. Meanwhile, the larger 17.3-inch Alienware X17 comes with nothing lower than the Core i7-11800H or GeForce RTX 3070 starting at $2380 USD.
Though most configurations are now shipping, one in particular won't be available until at least July. The fully configured Alienware X17 with the RTX 3080 will apparently need a few more weeks in the oven likely due to its brand new Cherry mechanical keyboard.
Expect other manufacturers to start shipping their own 11th gen Tiger Lake-H models soon as well including Asus, Razer, MSI, and more.
