if you've been holding out on a new Dell XPS, then now may be a good time to jump in. Dell has begun shipping its latest XPS 15 9510 and 17 9710 models refreshed with 11th gen Intel Tiger Lake-H CPUs to succeed last year's 10th gen 9500 and 9700 Comet Lake-H options. Initial SKUs include the Core i5-11400H, i7-11800H, and i9-11900H to replace the older i5-10400H, i7-10875H, and i9-10885H, respectively.
Outside of the new processors, both models have also been upgraded to carry Nvidia GeForce 3000 series Ampere GPUs to replace the older 2000 series Turing options. The XPS 15 can be configured with up to the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti (45 W TGP) while the XPS 17 gets the faster RTX 3050 (60 W TGP) and RTX 3060 (70 W TGP).
Everything else about the new XPS 15 9510 and XPS 17 9710 SKUs remain identical to last year's XPS 15 9500 and XPS 17 9700, respectively. The year-over-year updates are entirely internal meaning users who can live without the latest and greatest processors can still purchase the discounted 2020 XPS 15 or XPS 17 for essentially the same experience as these 2021 editions.
