Our in-depth review of the Dell XPS 15 determined it to be one of the best on the market, although its entry-level variant was a tad pricey. However, that applied to the SKU with a 3.5K OLED screen. There's one variant with a lower-resolution LCD panel, and Best Buy is selling it for US$1,599. It is US$300 cheaper than its asking price, which is an excellent deal, considering the hardware that it runs.
The Dell XPS 15 in question packs an eight-core Intel Tiger Lake Core i7-11800H processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card, a 512 GB NVMe SSD, and 16 GB of 3,200 MT/s RAM. While the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti isn't a gaming powerhouse by any stretch of the imagination, it can run a few not-so-demanding titles at respectable framerates. Additionally, users can expand the memory and storage at will, as neither component is soldered down.
Other specs of the Dell XPS 15 include a 15.3-inch WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) IPS LCD screen with a peak brightness of 500 nits. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Given its slim form factor, the number of available ports is lacking, with the notebook shipping with two Thunderbolt 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C 3.2 port, an SD card reader and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack.
