Audio-Technica unveils ATH-M50xSTS-WL StreamSet wireless headphones with a studio-grade mic for gaming and streaming

Audio-Technica has unveiled the ATH-M50xSTS-WL StreamSet wireless headset for gamers, streamers, and content creators. It combines drivers from the company's ATH-M50x monitoring headphones with a studio-grade microphone to deliver high-fidelity audio and vocals.
The ATH-M50xSTS-WL connects to PCs and compatible gaming consoles using a low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless USB adapter or a USB-C cable. The latency of the adapter is not stated, but it is likely to be much lower than that of a Bluetooth wireless connection, which commonly adds an audio lag of 100ms to 300 ms. The headphones can be used up to 10 m (33 ft.) from the wireless adapter, according to the company, and a USB-A-to-USB-C adapter is included.
The headphones come with a electret condenser microphone mounted on a flip-up boom arm to quickly mute conversations. The microphone offers adaptive noise reduction with two selectable levels and has a broad frequency response range of 50 Hz to 20 kHz.
The closed-back headphones house 45 mm drivers, with a frequency response range of 20 Hz to 22 kHz. They are supplied with standard ear pads designed to emphasize sound quality and isolation, along with breathable mesh pads intended for comfort during longer sessions.
Battery life is rated at up to 24 hours, with a full charge taking approximately 3.5 hours. The included 2 m (6.6 ft.) USB cable supports charging and wired audio operation, allowing owners to continue using the headset while it charges.
The headset weighs approximately 365 g (13 oz.) without its cable and can fold flat for transport.
The ATH-M50xSTS-WL StreamSet wireless headset has an MSRP of $299, with availability beginning October 28, 2026. Readers can look for its arrive in the Audio-Technica store on Amazon.
