Asus unveils new triple-mode gaming monitor with 4K 240Hz and up to 488Hz refresh rate

Asus has announced a range of new peripherals and gaming monitors in China to celebrate ROG's 20th anniversary. Among them is a PC controller with an 8K polling rate and the new Godlike 27 Plus, a triple-mode gaming monitor that offers three refresh rate modes depending on the resolution.
Specifically, the new monitor features a 4K Fast IPS panel with a native 240Hz refresh rate. With its triple-mode function, users can also switch to 400Hz at QHD (2560 x 1440) or 488Hz at FHD (1920 x 1080). That should allow it to maintain sharper image quality in its fastest mode than the recently announced Philips models, which reach 540Hz but only at a much lower HD (1280 x 720) resolution.
More specifications remain under wraps for now, but the monitor is said to offer sharp motion clarity at all three levels with intelligent pixel enhancement. It also includes several AI gaming features, including a dynamic crosshair and dynamic shadow enhancement. For connectivity, the monitor will include DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C.
Pricing and availability
Asus has not revealed pricing or a launch date for the Godlike 27 Plus in China or other markets, but more details are expected to follow soon.
