Asus has unveiled a new external graphics solution globally. Equipped with AMD RDNA 4 desktop graphics, the Asus XG Core graphics dock has a less imposing design than the company's existing ROG XG Mobile eGPUs.

Asus has announced numerous devices this week at Computex 2026 in Taipei. Currently, many of those are based around Nvidia's nascent RTX Spark series, including the ProArt Mini PC. With the second day of this year's Computex now underway, Asus has unveiled multiple Zenbook 14 laptops, the Ascent QN10 mini-PC and the TUF Gaming 16, among other new devices.

Also, the company has presented the XG Core graphics dock. An assuming-looking box, the XG Core graphics dock appears to be a less gaming-focused alternative to Asus' existing ROG XG Mobile series (curr. $1,599 on Amazon). For context, the ROG XG Mobile (2025) relies on laptop versions of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs.

By contrast, the XG Core adopts the desktop-class Radeon RX 9060 XT LP (Low Power) instead. Announced in December 2025, the Low Power variant runs at up to 140 W, a 12.5% decrease on the regular Radeon RX 9060 XT. Although the Low Power also features a 2.55% lower Boost Clock (3,050 MHz vs. 3,130 MHz), it retains 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM with a 128-bit memory bus running at 20 Gbps to achieve a 320 GB/s memory bandwidth.

Likewise, the Radeon RX 9060 XT LP provides the XG Core with 2,048 cores and 32 Compute Units. According to Asus, its new graphics dock will communicate via USB4, which it will then route via DisplayPort or HDMI outputs. Previously, AMD was expected to offer the Radeon RX 9060 XT LP to OEMs in China. Hence, pricing and availability for the XG Core remain unknown at this stage.
