Asus announces new Android tablet with tandem OLED display

Asus has announced a new Android tablet at Computex 2026. Design-wise, the new Asus Pad (T3201) features a square camera housing on the back. The tablet uses a magnalium chassis with a fiberglass back cover. It measures 6.5mm in thickness and weighs 523 grams. Asus has only showcased the device in a white colorway so far.
Key highlights of the Asus Pad
The Asus Pad comes with a 12.2-inch two-stack tandem OLED panel with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 pixels. The screen has a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a typical brightness of 600 nits.
Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset. The same chipset was used in the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro (curr. $339 on Amazon), which scored around 1.2 million points on AnTuTu V10 in our review. The tablet has up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Notably, it supports memory expansion via a microSD card (up to 1 TB).
The Asus Pad has a 9,000mAh battery and charges at up to 45W via a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port. It has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. The tablet supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity. On the software side, the Asus Pad runs Android 16. Pricing and availability details have yet to be revealed.
