80% Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (2023) review: a beautiful monstrosity
Source: Laptop Mag English
At the outset, I questioned whether the Duo 16 is an ideal machine for gamers. There aren’t enough games on the market that take advantage of dual-screen laptops’ awesomeness, unfortunately, but if you’re someone who often seeks help from YouTube or you enjoy chatting with friends on Discord while running a game, the Duo 16 may be worth the purchase. However, I believe that the Duo 16 will be best for anyone who regularly needs to reference several apps simultaneously. This includes content creators, students, writers, graphic designers, video editors, and photo editors. However, it is pricey. If you have more of a casual workflow, and you don’t need the beastly internals inside the Duo 16, consider the dual-screen Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 3.

80% Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (2023) review: Top-notch experience with a premium price
Source: India Today English
So, should you go ahead and shell out lakhs for Asus’ latest offering? Given that the premium price tag isn’t a concern for you, you can safely go ahead with this flagship gaming laptop loaded with all that the gaming world can offer for now. It can take almost anything that is thrown at it and ensures a great overall experience. This one will especially be useful for people who are accustomed to working on two screens at once and want a portable setup with dual-screen. For creators too, this is a suitable option.

70% Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (2023) Review
Source: PC Mag English
As has been the case with past Zephyrus Duo systems, this laptop is super-cool and hyper-expensive. For those with the deepest budgets, the “value” here may not matter, and they’ll be getting an elegant twin-screen system with the fastest modern parts. Those shoppers and early adopters may want the coolest, fastest thing, and the Duo 16 makes a compelling case on that front. For the vast majority, though, it’s hard to justify meeting the asking price here. You'll find gaming laptops that are just as fast, or even faster, for much less money. That may be less of a concern for shoppers looking at laptops that cost considerably more than $2,000, to begin with, but if an alternative like the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 is less expensive and faster, it’s tough to make a case against it if all-out speed is your main reason to spend big. If your budget is nearly unlimited and the dual screens are the most appealing design you’ve seen, though, you will definitely enjoy this cutting-edge machine. Just mind the battery life; that was the main quibble that kept it from four-star status.

Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 Laptop Review
Source: Techspot English
The Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo is a very well-built luxury machine with a divisive design and fearsome power levels. The design and performance levels certainly represent this rig's strengths. In terms of speed, there's nothing like this laptop - the RTX 4090 is a beast, and the CPU goes even further with record-breaking power. There's basically nothing this machine won't do unless you're talking about top-level desktop workstation tasks or absurd gaming workloads. It's not too loud or hot considering the internals, either. The main display offers incredible quality for almost all creative workloads and mainstream gaming situations, and you'll only want to look elsewhere if you want a 4K resolution, a higher refresh rate or 100% Adobe coverage. The second display is a capable partner for creatives and streamers, too. Elsewhere, the Duo offers decent connectivity, especially internally, and it's a good-looking and robust laptop - even if other notebooks are slimmer and lighter. Other laptops don't have second screens, but may have better ergonomics. The Zephyrus Duo's battery life is one of its weaknesses. Similarly, the ScreenPad is a welcome addition for many people, but lots of people would prefer a more conventional design. If that's you, then there are other options available. The Alienware m16 and Asus M16 are cheaper than the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo in their RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 configurations. At the other end of the scale, the Razer Blade 16 is pricier and the MSI Titan is far more expensive. Ultimately, this laptop presents a compromise. If you want unbridled power, a brilliant Mini LED display and the second screen, you'll have to accept the Duo's ergonomic flaws. If you won't use the internals or the ScreenPad, you'd probably be better served by a more affordable notebook with a more conventional design.

70% Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (2023) Review
Source: Trusted Reviews English
The Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 pairs record-breaking speed with a great pair of screens, making it an exceptional option for top-line gaming and creative work. But, ergonomic compromises mean you should only buy this laptop if you’ll really appreciate its unique features. At $3,999/£4,599/€5,599 for the RTX 4090 model and $3,499 for the RTX 4080 model, the Duo isn’t the cheapest choice. The Alienware m16 and the Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 and Zephryus M16 notebooks are all more affordable, with the Razer Blade 16 and MSI Titan GT77 costing even more.

ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 review - An overpowered & overpriced laptop
Source: Tech Nave English
As I've mentioned, the Zephyrus Duo 16 is a very niche product for a niche target group. Ideally, this laptop is a great compact companion for those on the go, travelling to events and places. There's nothing wrong with using this at home either, but you might as well get an ultrawide monitor. Even that would cost less. The Zephyrus Duo 16 is just too damn expensive.

80% Asus Zephyrus Duo 16 (2023) review: Double the fun
Source: Pocket Lint English
It's tempting to dismiss the second 14-inch, touch-sensitive screen - referred to as the 'ScreenPad' - as a bit of a gimmick, but it doesn't take long to get a feel for the way that it’s meant to be used. You can keep your primary applications running on the larger 16-inch screen, while using the ScreenPad for secondary tasks, such as keeping an eye on your email, or your chat software during games. The ScreenPad can also be used as a kind of dock for tool palettes in high-end graphics and design apps, and Asus also says that it is working with games developers to encourage support for the ScreenPad, perhaps having your Inventory window always visible on the ScreenPad while the main screen just focuses on the action around you. The new AMD processor and nVidia GPU provide impressive performance - which wasn't always the case with the original 15-inch model. We're also impressed to find that the improved cooling system works a treat, and the base of the Zephyrus never got more than mildly warm during our tests and gaming sessions. The modest battery life hasn't improved much, though, and the price of the twin-screen display and high-end specification puts it very much at the luxury end of the market. Some specialist users, such as streamers and graphics professionals might find the secondary ScreenPad to be a useful feature if their budgets are big, but the rest of us will likely prefer to opt for a more affordable external display if we need some extra screen real estate.

16.00":

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.

The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
