Asus has shown off a new mini PC for power users who need top-shelf hardware. The Asus NUC 15 Performance is essentially a redesigned version of the ROG NUC announced earlier this year.

Asus showed off a couple of mini PCs some time ago, namely the NUC 15 Pro and NUC 15 Pro+. Both came with Intel Arrow Lake-H CPUs and lacked a dedicated GPU. If you wanted a dedicated GPU, you'd have to pick the ROG NUC (2025) presented at CES this year. Now, the same configuration has been remodelled as a non-gaming part and shown off as the Asus NUC 15 Performance.

It can be configured with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX or Core Ultra 7 255HX Arrow Lake-HX CPUs and paired with GeForce RTX 5070 or RTX 5060 laptop GPUs from Nvidia. Memory maxes out at 32 GB of DDR5-6400 and storage at 2 TB PCIe Gen5. However, the bare-bones Asus NUC 15 Performance system ships without any memory, and it has to be added separately. If you want even more RAM, the NUC supports up to 96 GB, but the two 48 GB modules have to be purchased externally.

Asus keeps the NUC 15 Performance’s internals cool with a triple-fan cooling system that employs two vapour chambers. This is done in a compact chassis that measures 189.55 mm x 282.4 mm x 56.5 mm. It has a volume of three litres, allowing it to fit in tight spaces. Its design ensures you can take the chassis apart by unravelling just one thumbscrew.

The Asus NUC 15 Performance comes with plenty of connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi 7, 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, one Thunderbolt 4.0 port, Bluetooth 5.2, six USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports (2 front, 4 rear), two HDMI ports, two DP ports and one USB-C port. Asus states this setup can output five 4K video streams at one time.

While Asus hasn’t explicitly mentioned a starting price for the NUC, Liliputing speculates it will start at around $1,200.
