Zotac refreshes the Magnus One, which still is somewhat compact but no longer a tiny mini PC. On the other hand, it now sports a modern graphics card, an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and can accommodate up to 96GB RAM as well as two SSDs.
The Zotac Magnus One is a rather small desktop PC, although it’s no longer as compact as most other mini PCs on the market. More specifically, the Magnus One EU275070C measures 10.7 x 5.0 x 9.8 inches and has a case volume of just under 8.5 liters. However, it also offers a bunch of performance thanks to an Intel Core Ultra 7 265 with an integrated NPU. In terms of graphics card, Zotac has opted for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 with 12GB GDDDR7 VRAM, which is also suitable for gaming.
In addition, the Windows-based version of this new mini PC comes with 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, but its two DDR5 slots support up to 96GB of memory. A secondary M.2 slot with four PCIe 4.0 lanes is also available, while the primary M.2 slot even supports PCIe 5.0. The Magnus One can also accommodate one traditional 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or SSD.
The reaming features include a 3-in-1 card reader, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports for external storage devices plus four more USB 3.0 ports, one of which is Type C. A single Thunderbolt 4 port is also onboard. WiFi 7 is supported, alternatively there are two Ethernet ports with 5GBit/s and 1GBit/s, respectively. The mini PC is powered by a 500W PSU with 80+ Platinum certification and is cooled by regular fans and heatsinks, and no water cooler. Unfortunately, the new Zotac Magnus One mini PC with RTX 5070 is not available for purchase just yet.

I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and have been working for Notebookcheck since 2017. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – so in other words, compact systems with a lot of potential. In addition, I have a soft spot for all kinds of wearables, especially smartwatches. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me.

My fascination for technology goes back a long way to the Pentium II era. Modding, overclocking and treasuring computer hardware has since become an integral part of my life. As a student, I further developed a keen interest in mobile technologies that can make the stressful college life so much easier. After I fell in love with the creation of digital content while working in a marketing position, I now scour the web to bring you the most exciting topics in the world of tech. Outside the office, I’m particularly passionate about motorsports and mountain biking.
