Apple iPhone gets iOS 27 public beta with Siri AI and up to 80% performance improvements

Apple announced iOS 27 at WWDC in early June, and released an initial beta version for developers shortly thereafter. The publicly available beta version is now available through the Apple Beta Software Program. Users of compatible iPhones can download and install the beta version in just a few steps.
After logging in with your Apple ID, you simply need to accept the terms and conditions of the beta program before you can download and install iOS 27 directly through the iPhone’s System Settings. The corresponding version can be selected under Settings → General → Software Update in the "Beta Updates" section. As usual, beta versions are not final, and software bugs cannot be ruled out. Before installation, it is strongly recommended that you back up all data on your iPhone.
The final version of iOS 27 is expected to be released in September or October. The most significant new feature is Siri AI, a chatbot reminiscent of a combination of ChatGPT and OpenClaw. On current models such as the iPhone 17 Pro ($1,070 on Amazon), Apple Intelligence now also allows users to generate, enhance, or edit photos using AI.
Even users who aren’t interested in AI features are set to benefit from iOS 27. That’s because the new operating system lets users customize the transparency of Apple’s Liquid Glass user interface to their own preferences. Performance is expected to improve dramatically in some areas – Apple cites 30 percent faster app launches, 70 percent shorter loading times in the Photos app, and even up to 80 percent faster data transfers via AirDrop.
