A comprehensive leak in mid-July revealed all the colors in which the Apple iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Air will be offered. Dummies of the base model in green and purple were recently spotted in hands-on-videos. Now, reliable leaker @MysteryLupin has published images of a transparent protective case showing the iPhone 17 Pro in three colors.
The successor to the iPhone 16 Pro will be available in orange (Pantone Papaya), dark blue (Pantone Mood Indigo) and dark gray. Interestingly, these images show the Apple logo centered within the MagSafe magnetic ring, as usual, instead of further down as previously rumored, in order to align the logo so that it sits centrally in the area below the wide camera module. After the iPhone 16 Pro was only available in relatively subdued colours, namely white, grey, black and gold, Apple is finally using bolder shades again with the iPhone 17 Pro.
What is not yet visible in these images: Apple is said to be installing a second camera shutter button on the top edge of the case, which was recently spotted in a photo purportedly showing the iPhone 17 Pro in public. The leaker also shared an image of the iPhone 17 Air in white, which is no surprise. To save space, Apple is only installing a single rear camera on this model, and MagSafe is apparently supported despite the ultra-thin case.
The Apple iPhone 17 series is expected to be officially unveiled in September and be available in the second half of September. In addition to design tweaks and the upgrade to the newer Apple A19 Pro processor, the focus of the iPhone 17 Pro is said to be on the cameras, as Apple is said to be installing a new 24 MP selfie camera and three 48 MP rear cameras, along with the inclusion of a new Pro Camera app and continuous zoom.
