90.2% Apple M5 Pro & M5 Max CPU Analysis - M5 Max is not much faster than the M4 Max | Notebookcheck
Apple launched their new M5 Pro & M5 Max chips with different a different approach including tiles and new super cores. We test and analyze the new M5 Pro/Max CPUs, both in terms of performance as well as efficiency. Users of the new M5 Pro can be very happy, but the results of the new M5 Max is a bit sobering. Update: MBP 16 with M5 Max
90.2% Apple M5 Pro & M5 Max GPU Analysis - M5 Max GPU on par with the GeForce RTX 5070 and faster than Strix Halo | Notebookcheck
Apple launches their new M5 Pro and M5 Max SoCs with new GPU models. We test the 20-core M5 Pro GPU as well as the flagship 40-core M5 Max GPU in synthetic benchmarks as well as gaming tests and also check the efficiency compared to previous Apple GPUs as well as Nvidia's Blackwell graphics cards. Update: MBP 16 shows the full potential of the M5 Max GPU
90.2% M5 Max with inconsistent performance and throttling issues - Apple MacBook Pro 14 Review | Notebookcheck
Apple's new high-end chip M5 Max is once again also available for the compact MacBook Pro 14. We test the fastest version with the 40-core GPU, 128 GB RAM and 8 TB of blazing fast PCIe 5.0 storage. But the M5 Max might just be too powerful for the 14-inch MacBook Pro... Update: M5 Max is a beast in Adobe and DaVinci benchmarks
90% Apple MacBook Pro 14 (M5 Max) review: exceptional performance you can carry with you
Source: Digital Camera World English
This 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Max processor is a remarkable machine, and it should be, considering the price Apple is asking for it. You’ll need to go through the online configuration process to get a laptop with this spec, and once you’re finished, it’s almost the most expensive Mac you can buy (that accolade goes to the Mac Studio with a 32-core M3 Ultra processor, into which you can put 256GB of RAM and 16TB of storage). For most photo and video users, however, a laptop of this spec will be overkill, and while the excitement of simply owning one may be worth the price, something lower down the hierarchy will do just as well, especially when you consider that you’ll undoubtedly need extras like a Thunderbolt dock, Magic Mouse or Trackpad, and an external monitor such as the Apple Studio Display to go with it. Buy one, however, and you’ll have the kind of portable workstation that once we could only have dreamed of.

95% Tested: Apple's latest MacBook Pro with M5 Max is ridiculously powerful and ridiculously expensive
Source: Creative Bloq English
When it comes to doing creative work, the name of the MacBook Pro is legendary. With this model, Apple has squeezed the kind of power you’d expect from a desktop Mac Pro in a tower case into a 14-inch laptop, and backed it up with plenty of RAM. It’s extremely expensive, but is probably the best professional laptop you can get right now.

M5 Max MacBook Pro (2026) Review: The Best Gets Better
Source: BGR English
The M5-series MacBook Pro is not just the best MacBook ever, but probably the best laptop ever. It doesn't really get anything wrong. It has a good port selection, a stylish and durable body, a great-looking screen, and around the best performance you can get in any laptop, bar none. Whether you go for the base M5 model or the powerhouse M5 Max, you'll love what the latest MacBook Pro has to offer. That doesn't necessarily mean you should upgrade from an M4 model, though.

80% M5 Max MacBook Pro Review: Preeminent Power In the Same Old Shell
Source: Gizmodo English
I have long dreamed of having the one “everything” laptop—the one portable machine with top-end performance, a beautiful screen, solid sound, and a battery life that doesn’t quit. The M5 Max MacBook Pro is definitely the most powerful 14-inch laptop I have ever used. If the fans were up to snuff, this would be the one laptop I would be able to use for literally everything. We’re finally at the turning point where mobile computers don’t need to rely on battery-sucking discrete GPUs. The M5 Max MacBook Pro is really held back by an aging shell. Apple’s aluminum body is still top-tier, but there are many PCs with keyboards that I enjoy more. Apple’s Liquid Retina XDR display looks great, but it’s not as good as OLED, especially what Apple has already showcased on its tandem OLED M5 iPad Pro.The next big update to the MacBook Pro may come later this year.
