Anker's new power bank launches with active cooling, 45 W output and a smart display

Wireless charging throttles when it gets hot, which is why a 25W magnetic power bank rarely holds 25W for long. Now, Anker has put a fan into its power bank.

The MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro, which surfaced a few days ago via the Wireless Power Consortium, has active cooling inside its Qi2.2 pack. There are vents running the length of one edge. Anker says this keeps the pack near 36 degrees Celsius while it delivers the full 25W wirelessly, instead of tapering off partway through a charge. The company calls it the first magnetic power bank with fan cooling, although Sharge has been shipping fan-cooled ICEMAG models since 2024, the latest of them on Qi2.2.

Wired, the USB-C port pushes 45W which is enough for a tablet or a thin laptop in one go. Refilling the bank runs at the same 45 W and hits 80 percent in 52 minutes, Anker says. A color display on the short edge shows output, battery health, and whether the fan is set to cool or silent, the latter presumably for bedside use.

Pricing is 109.99 euros (~$127) with an early-buyer promotion at 87.99 euros (about $102) using the code 2026MAGGO until 16 September. Retail is set for later in the month through Anker, Amazon, and third-party stores.

Neither the press material nor the launch slide lists capacity, which is unusual for a power bank and worth watching. A fan, a display, and the cooling hardware around them all consume internal volume, so the cell may be smaller than the price implies.
