Anker launches new upgraded charger with smart display

The Anker 45W Smart+ Charger has been released in China. This is a new version of the Anker Nano Charger (45W, Smart Display, 180° Foldable), released in 2025. Both are referred to by the model number A121D.

Anker’s new Smart Display Charger shares many similarities with its predecessor. There is a single USB-C port, with real-time charging information shown on the integrated screen. This time, Anker is marketing the charging accessory as supporting the AVS protocol for dynamic fast charging. It should be able to charge an iPhone 17 to 50% in around 20 minutes. Other features in ActiveShield 5.0 include low-temperature charging and dual folding pins, which can be tucked away or folded out at 90° and 180° angles.

Described by Anker as an “iterative upgrade”, the smart device recognition and dynamic charging are said to provide further protection of your phone’s battery. The company goes so far as to claim that it reduces battery degradation by 20%, though it does not detail how this metric was calculated.

Anker’s new 45W Smart+ Charger is now available at Chinese retailers like Youzan for CNY 149 (~$22). It comes in four colors which might mirror the shades of the unreleased iPhone 18 Pro: black, white, burgundy and light blue. It is unclear when this upgraded version of the smart display charger could reach the US, where the original Nano Charger (45W, Smart Display, 180° Foldable) is currently available for $25.99 at Amazon US.
