Anker launches new security camera with dual 4K lenses and radar detection

Anker has launched the eufy SoloCam E50, a solar-powered outdoor security camera that pairs two 4K lenses with a motorised pan-tilt head. The camera costs $229.99 and is available for pre-order on eufy’s website, with shipping expected by the end of October 2026.

The E50 is part of the eufy Edge 5.0 Yard Protection System, a five-device lineup that also includes the TrackLight Cam S1, Video Doorbell S4, eufyCam E52 and Window Camera E10. All five connect to eufy’s HomeBase S380 hub. Frank Zhu, General Manager at Anker eufy, said the lineup is meant to reassure homeowners that “every corner of their property is protected, from indoors to the outdoors.”

Alongside the single camera, eufy lists a two-camera kit at $449.99 and a four-camera kit bundled with the HomeBase S380 at $999.99.

One lens provides a 135-degree wide view of the yard, while the telephoto lens handles close detail. Its 12x hybrid zoom can pick out a face or a number plate at about 12 meters (40 feet), according to eufy. The head pans through 348 degrees and tilts through 70 degrees, which eufy markets as 360-degree coverage. When the app shows both feeds side by side, the maximum resolution drops to 2K, so full 4K viewing and downloads require single-view mode.

eufy OmniTrack, the camera’s AI tracking system, recognizes people and vehicles and turns the head to follow them. Its auto-framing function tightens the zoom on a single person and pulls back when more people enter the scene. The camera does not offer pet detection.

Anker said the E50 combines millimetre-wave radar with a passive infrared sensor. eufy says the radar can register a person standing still while ignoring the shadows, sun glare and moving branches that commonly trigger false alerts. The radar covers a 120-degree field out to about 12 meters. Once it detects activity, the camera can switch on a spotlight, a red and blue strobe, and a siren, and it records at night in infrared or in color under the spotlight.

A 10,000mAh battery powers the camera, and a 5W SolarPlus 2.0 panel with MPPT charging keeps it topped up. Owners can leave the panel attached or mount it separately on a wall or eave to catch more sun. The camera connects over 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, with eufy quoting a range of 200 metres in open areas, and carries an IP65 weather rating.

Recordings are saved to a microSD card of up to 512GB, which is sold separately, and eufy charges no monthly fee for core features. Pairing the camera with the HomeBase S380 adds expandable hard drive storage, facial recognition, cross-camera tracking, and security reports. The E50 works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant but not Apple HomeKit, and it does not support 24/7 continuous recording.
