Baseus has launched the PrimeSentinel U2 Pro Outdoor 3K Dual Camera at $269.99 in the US and €269.99 in Europe. The battery-powered camera pairs a fixed 3K lens with a 130-degree view and a second 3K lens that pans 360 degrees and adds a motorized spotlight that uses two PIR sensors and AI recognition to follow people at three to eight meters.

Baseus has launched the PrimeSentinel U2 Pro Outdoor 3K Dual Camera, a battery-powered outdoor security camera fitted with a motorised spotlight that locks onto a moving person and follows them across a property. According to the company, the U2 Pro is the first security camera to carry a dedicated target-tracking spotlight beam. Conventional floodlight cameras light up an entire area once they detect motion.

The U2 Pro instead projects a sharply defined rectangle of light onto the subject it has detected and holds it there as the subject moves, signalling to an intruder that they have been seen. The company also presents the beam as a way to produce clearer night footage, making faces easier to identify, and as a convenience for night-time tasks such as letting a dog out.

Tracking relies on two passive infrared (PIR) sensors working alongside AI recognition. According to Baseus specifications, the spotlight can follow a person moving at up to about 1.8 meters per second, roughly a light jog, at distances of three to eight meters.

A person sprinting at close to 4.9 metres per second can be tracked between five and eight metres away, and at eight metres the system can follow a vehicle travelling at roughly 30 km/h.

One fixed 3K lens covers a set zone as a second 3K lens pans 360 degrees, tilts and zooms over the rest of the property.

Two 3K cameras handle the recording. A fixed camera with a 130-degree field of view and 8x digital zoom watches a chosen zone, such as a gate or front door. A second 3K camera, housed at the base of the unit with the spotlight, pans 360 degrees, tilts, and zooms to cover the rest of the property. Full-color night vision is meant to help users make out people, animals, and the color of a vehicle after dark.

AI analysis sorts detected motion into people, pets, and vehicles, and the camera can send alerts carrying short written summaries of what it saw, including package deliveries. It is designed to disregard irrelevant movement, such as branches swaying in the wind, as well as recurring activity, to limit notifications. Baseus has said the cloud-based AI analysis behind these summaries requires a subscription, although there is no subscription plan for cloud video storage.

Recording starts only when the camera detects motion, with clips saved to a microSD card of up to 512GB protected by AES and RSA encryption. Owners can review footage remotely in the Baseus Security app, talk to visitors through a built-in microphone and speaker, and stream the live feed to Amazon Alexa and Google Home smart displays. The unit also includes a siren and connects over 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi.

Clips stay on an encrypted microSD card of up to 512GB.
The 7,800mAh battery backed by a 3W solar panel is rated for up to 150 days.

A 7,800mAh rechargeable battery powers the camera, and Baseus rates it for up to 150 days of use without solar input, a figure that will fall on properties with frequent activity. The bundled 3W solar panel can be fitted on top of the camera or mounted separately in a sunnier position. Under the company's test conditions, 40 minutes of sunlight supplies enough charge for a full day of operation.

The U2 Pro carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance and is rated to operate between -20°C and 50°C. Baseus says it can be mounted on a wall or ceiling in about two minutes. Baseus first showed the U2 Pro at IFA 2026 in September and joins a camera range that already includes the dual-lens X1 Pro and S1 Pro.

The company also shared a discount code with us. Entering BSU2PNBC at checkout on the camera's Amazon US listing lowers the price from $279.99 to $119.99, a 57% reduction. The code is valid from 00:00 PDT on October 22 until 23:59 PST on December 31.
