Amazon Alexa Tablet 11 launches with a 90Hz display, MediaTek processor, and a $329 price tag

Alongside the Alexa Tablet 12 Pro and Alexa Tablet 8, Amazon has also launched the Alexa Tablet 11. From the name, it is obvious it is positioned between the aforementioned models, but not just with respect to its size, but also its features and price.

The Alexa Tablet 11 has an aluminum unibody design that's reminiscent of Apple's iPad 11 (128GB version curr. available on Amazon for $399). The tablet has an 11-inch display with a 2.5K resolution (2560 × 1600), a 90Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of brightness. Like the Alexa Tablet 8, it is powered by a MediaTek 8189 processor a.k.a. MediaTek Kompanio 540.

The SoC has an 8-core CPU made up of two Cortex-A78 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. The Alexa Tablet 11 has 8GB of RAM with the option of 64GB or 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Unfortunately, not only does Amazon's new tablet look like the iPad, it even borrows its “no microSD card slot” feature, which is a bummer.

The tablet has an 8MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear camera, both of which can record in 1080p. The Alexa Tablet 11 also has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, dual microphones, Bluetooth 5.2, an IP52 dust and water resistance rating, and a fingerprint scanner. Unfortunately, there's no audio jack and its USB-C port doesn't have DisplayPort support.

The Alexa Tablet 11 has a 6,500mAh battery that is advertised as providing up to 15 hours of video playback or up to 20 hours when the tablet is used in Kindle reading mode. It supports up to 27W charging with a USB PD 3.0 PPS charger (not included).

The tablet ships with Android 16 and comes with Alexa+ preinstalled.

The Alexa Tablet 11 costs $329.99 for the 64GB version and goes up to $379.99 for the 128GB version. However, the prices increase by $20 if you choose to purchase it without lockscreen ads. The tablet is available in Amethyst (Purple), Graphite (Gray), and Matcha (Green) like the 2024 base Kindle. It is available to pre-order now ahead of its release on October 14.

There's also an Amazon Kids Tablet 11 which has 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and costs $329.99. Parents can choose between a soft bumper case or a slim hard case, although special editions such as Paw Patrol, Barbie, and SpongeBob versions costs $339.99.

With respect to accessories, Amazon sells a $59.99 USI 2.0 magnetic and rechargeable stylus with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, tilt support, and eraser function. Replacement tips for the stylus costs $19.99 for a pack of 3.

There's also a $49.99 fabric folio cover in the same colors as the tablet; a $59.99 plant-based leather folio cover; a $17.99 pack-of-2 screen protector; and a $79.99 QWERTY Bluetooth keyboard case with a trackpad and up to 300 hours of battery life.
