8.8-inch Android tablet launches with 4G LTE support for ~$278

Chinese brand Headwolf has launched the FPad9 in Japan. It is a compact Android tablet with 4G LTE connectivity.
Key highlights of the Headwolf FPad9
The FPad9 sports an 8.8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. Notably, it also supports the Widevine L1 standard.
The tablet is powered by the Unisoc T7300 chipset. For context, it is a 6nm octa-core chipset comprising two Cortex-A78 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The tablet comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with support for microSD cards of up to 2TB.
The FPad9 has a 7,200mAh battery with 18W charging support (Ugreen 20K powerbank curr. $57.99 on Amazon). It features a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and dual speakers.
Connectivity options include dual-band (2.4GHz/5GHz) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and 4G LTE. Its hybrid card tray accommodates either two nano-SIM cards or one nano-SIM alongside a microSD card. On the software side, the tablet ships with Android 16.
It comes in an Obsidian Black colorway, measures 208.64 x 129.56 x 7.9mm, and weighs approximately 325g. The tablet has launched in Japan with a single 4GB/128GB configuration for a price tag of ¥43,999 (~$278).
