Affordable Teclast tablet launches with compact 10.1-inch display and 2TB microSD support

Teclast has launched a new affordable tablet, the P35. It's an entry-level pad, and while the processor is quite dated, it has what it takes to handle media playback and light productivity workloads.

To be precise, the Teclast P35 is powered by the Unisoc T7200, an entry-level SoC from 2019, and per benchmarks, it's at the same level as the Mediatek G81. With Mali G57 MP1, it can tackle some lightweight games and media as well.

The company has paired it with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There's a microSD card slot, and the company highlights that it can hold a 2TB memory card, making the tablet ideal for offline entertainment.

On the front, the Teclast P35 features a 10.1-inch IPS display with 1280x800 pixels resolution. There's not much information on the panel, suggesting it's not a high-end screen, but the company notes that the peak brightness is 300 nits. That should be enough for comfortable indoor viewing.

Another notable highlight of the Teclast P35 is the dual-speaker setup, which is said to be backed by an independent chip for higher details and clarity. There's a 6,000mAh battery inside, and the company claims that it lets the tablet deliver up to 6 hours of online video playback.

It's unclear what the tablet's rated charging speed is, but most of Teclast's affordable tablets don't support fancy fast charging. Other highlights included Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi, a 5MP rear camera, a 2MP selfie shooter, and a 3.5mm audio port. The Teclast P35 is currently available on AliExpress at $70.36, and there's an option to purchase the tablet with keyboard, stylus, and other bundled accessories at $77.12.
