The supposed key specifications for the upcoming Redmi 855 flagship smartphone have been shared online. The device, which is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, still hasn’t got any other name than “Redmi 855” at the moment. The smartphone is expected to be released in either May or June and could feature an AMOLED display.

According to leaked specifications, the Redmi 855 flagship smartphone will feature a 6.39-inch display (possibly AMOLED) and will come with at least one variant that sports 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage space. The display is expected to have a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels, which is the same as the highly rated Xiaomi Mi Mix 3.

In terms of cameras, there will be a 32 MP (f/2.0) front-facing sensor that many believe will be incorporated into a pop-up mechanism. Apparently, this will be an ISOCELL Bright GD1 sensor from Samsung. As for the rear, there will be a triple camera setup that consists of a 48 MP main sensor (f/1.8), a 13 MP ultra-wide sensor (f/2.4), and an 8 MP telephoto sensor (f/2.4). The 48 MP component is expected to be a Sony IMX586 sensor.

Other rumors about the Redmi 855 include that it will feature NFC connectivity, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and it could be released at a very reasonable price point. If the specifications are accurate, then the Redmi 855 flagship smartphone should certainly help the sub-brand with stepping out from Xiaomi’s shadow.
